Introducing enhanced embedded VoIP hardware

We are pleased to announce that we will be launching new low-cost hardware for embedded VoIP applications in early Q1 2012. The new hardware, named HK400VOP, will be a successor of our current VoIP clients HK336VCP and HK336MIC. HK400VOP will be a low power device in smaller form factor and with optional PoE support.

Extended GERBER files for Rev-1 are available now and can be downloaded here. The files are released under same license as other Arduino™ designs. The schematics will be made available shortly. For more information and/or feedback, feel free to contact us.

Ethernet shield for chipKIT Max32™ Arduino™ platform

We are pleased to announce extended support for chipKIT Max32™ Arduino™ platform. The Ethernet shield design in final phases and we will be releasing GERBER files by end of July. The shield fully conforms to Arduino™ shield design specifications by making available all I/O connectors, thus allowing other shields to be stacked and used on top of it.

We are pleased to announce that our Modbus-TCP framework has been successfully ported to chipKIT Max32™ Arduino™ platform. The platform is the most powerful member of Arduino™ family of open-source hardware platform featuring a powerful PIC32 micro controller running at 80 MHz. The platform is compatible with majority of available add-on boards (also called shields).

Version 1.2 of SIP/IAX stack with support for Windows platform!

Version 1.2 of sk336ipp is out! The new version offers support for more platforms including Windows and Windows Mobile. sk336ipp is the first SIP/IAX stack brought up entirely for embedded platforms making it the most efficient VoIP stack both in terms of memory and CPU utilization. Fully functional evaluation library with example can be downloaded here.

Version 1.1 of sk336ipp is out! It has some major enhancements including integration with posix threading library instead of EICSS cooperative kernel. Fully functional evaluation library with example can be downloaded here.

IPv6 compatible SIP/IAX VoIP stack available for evaluation

We are pleased to announce successful conclusion of testing our IPv6 compatible SIP/IAX VoIP stack. The stack, named SK336IPP, is a performance and memory optimized component designed and developed ground-up for embedded VoIP applications including handsets. In contrast to available solutions that require porting to target OS/RTOS, SK336IPP stack acts like a complete application exporting a very compact API to generate and respond to signaling events.

Dual SIP2/IAX2 VoIP stack

We are pleased to announce that our development team is in testing phase of a compact SIP2 UAC stack. This highly optimized stack integrates seamlessly with our current embedded VoIP framework allowing VoIP client devices to accept either SIP or IAX calls. The development will lead to first of a kind ANSI-C portable dual SIP2/IAX2 stack and will be available for trials in Q2 2010.

White Paper: Reducing memory footprint of embedded applications

The paper presents techniques to reduce program and data memory footprint of cost sensitive embedded devices. Most of the techniques have been successfully used in development of EICSS embedded development framework. The paper can be downloaded here.
